Rose Noir is the latest artistic evolution of one of music’s great creators. Growing up in the 90s with a deep love of hip-hop drove the artist toward his first passion: DJing. After years of practice and dedication to his craft, he rose to become a two-time World Champion turntablist. A decade later he helped to define one of electronic music’s hottest genres, collaborating with A-list stars and pushing the sound for another ten years. His passion has brought him to some of the world's most prestigious stages including Coachella, Sonar, and EDC Las Vegas. Over 20 years into his musical career, Rose Noir serves as a true passion project; a creative output that is part of the artist’s soul.
The project was literally born out of a dream. When he woke up he quickly recorded a voice memo to recreate the melody he had heard before bringing it to life in the studio the next day. The experience helped the creator realize that his two decades in music have allowed him to create anything within his imagination and opened the door for a completely new direction. Further leaning into his hip-hop roots, Rose Noir has been producing for veteran emcee R.A.P. Ferreira (formerly Milo). The rapper is a staple in the underground scene having toured with the likes of Open Mike Eagle, Nocando, and Busdriver while receiving support from top-tier publications such as Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, and Vulture.
Rose Noir produced the artist’s single ‘Black Palladin’s Theme’ and the chemistry between the two artists has led to the creation of two more tracks featured on the rapper's album ‘5 to the eye with stars.’
Expanding his collaborative efforts, Rose Noir has worked with acclaimed Parisian multi-instrumentalist Moodoïd on his latest EP ‘PrimaDonna vol. 2.‘ Known for his psych rock and cosmic pop offerings, the project is assured to showcase the breadth of both artists' sonic depth.
